An audience participation system is used with many of the training programmes, but is especially useful in providing detailed reports as evidence of knowledge.

REED Training and Consultancy provides services predominantly across the South, South East, South West and London regions, though have travelled further afield, gaining new custom by word of mouth recommendation, into Leicestershire, Norfolk, Nottinghamshire and Hearts and Beds.

Most customers have their own training room, and much prefer training to be held on site. We do however have access to three excellent training venues (note the cost of hiring venues will be chargeable and added to your invoice)

Virtual Training

Many of the above topics can be delivered virtually giving you the opportunity to achieve maximum possible attendance, and delegates the flexibility of attending from home if they are not scheduled to work on the day of training. Virtual training sessions are fully interactive, breakout room activities and open discussions are built into every programme.

Manual Handling and Safer People Handling training is a mandatory requirement throughout the Health and Social Care sector.

With many staff in many roles, it is essential that training programmes meet the specific needs of the worker; a maintenance worker for example would not have the same development needs as a care and support worker, and may have questions that relate to their particular environment or a specific piece of equipment.

All Manual and Safer People Handling training programmes include an evidenced, practical competence assessment, which is conducted on the day and may include for example

care certificate

The Care Certificate Award is recognised as the new minimum standards that should be covered as part of induction training for new care workers.

The Care Certificate was developed jointly by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health. It applies across social care and health.

Some employers have found it beneficial to have REED Training and Consultancy provide development workshops to compliment the readily available resources, for example with Standard 12 - Basic Life Support; also with time consuming ongoing work-based observations.
